Announcement: COVID-19

We wanted to address the role of our community and practice in relation to the COVID-19 virus:

(1) We invite you to reach out to the teachers and/or other community members. We are a community, and will remain one during this time!

(2) Wednesday night classes will be held online on Zoom. Please contact us if you need more information.

Student-teacher meetings will be held online or over the phone.

All daylong retreats at PS3 are suspended.
We will let you know when we have further information about daylong retreats.

(3)  When we return to meeting in person, we ask you to safeguard the health of our community by not attending class if you develop symptoms, have had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, or if you have recently travelled from an area with a widespread or ongoing community spread of COVID-19.

In addition, we ask that you follow the CDC's guidelines, which include:

• Washing your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds.
• Using the hand sanitizer, wipes, and tissues available on the premises.
• Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

• Covering your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.

(4) We urge you to put the practice to good use. Our basic practice of noticing when we are lost in thought and asking the question, "Is this useful?" can be very helpful right now. Staying grounded in the breath as much as you can is also beneficial.

May we all be healthy and strong!
