Three-Day Meditation & Yoga Retreat

This three-day residential retreat offers students an opportunity to develop stillness and insight and deepen in mindfulness of the body.  The retreat includes periods of sitting meditation, walking meditation, and yoga. The retreat is held in silence except for instruction, meetings with the teachers, and dharma talks.  

Students should have some experience in meditation and yoga. The yoga is suitable for both newer and more experienced practitioners. 

The retreat begins in the evening on Friday, January 11, and ends in the afternoon on Monday, January 14. The retreat fee includes three vegetarian meals per day.

$700   (single room) 
$650   (double room) 

You must pre-register for the retreat by mailing the registration form and a $100 deposit. You will forfeit your deposit if you cancel your registration after December 11, 2018.

Garrison Institute is approximately one hour from the city.  The center is easily accessible via Metro North. It is a one hour train ride from Grand Central.  A shuttle bus will pick up retreatants at the Garrison Station. 

Peter Doobinin is the founder of Downtown Meditation. He is a co-founder of New York Insight Meditation Center. He has been teaching the dharma for more than twenty years. 

Carla Stangenberg has been the director of the Jaya Yoga Center in Brooklyn, New York since October 2005 and has taught there since 2000.
